Situation Update: February 5, 2022
Once again, our Constitutional Freedoms were attacked as GoFundMe initially said it would not be giving the C$10 million ($8 million USD) raised to support the truckers protesting COVID-19 mandates to the organizers anymore. It originally disclosed a bad plan to instead work with the organizers to send the funds to “established charities verified by GoFundMe.”
Massive outrage and backlash to the left leaning company's plan to seize control of the funds led GoFundMe to change course, and now they said in a statement that "due to donor feedback, we are simplifying the process," of returning the funds to people supporting the truckers' Freedom Convoy.
" We will automatically refund all contributions directly - donors do not need to submit a request.," said GoFundMe in a released statement following massive outrage at their earlier plan to keep the donated money to use for their desired causes.
GoFundMe initially maintained its earlier decision was because they had “evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration had become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity.”
However, they never provided any evidence of such claims. The organizers, and participants have proudly demonstrated their peaceful protest through social media outlets like Facebook, before they were taken down by the platform for demonstrating the beauty and magnitude of what their resistance against tyranny looks like.
Everywhere we look, there is another assault on our Constitutional Freedoms. Those going along with supporting this tyranny, such as decision makers at GoFundMe, are being masterfully manipulated by the politicians and don’t realize the damage and harm them are bringing upon themselves as they usher in this oppression. As the honorable Winston Churchill referenced, by appeasing tyranny, you are still feeding the alligator, your only benefit is that you may not be the first one eaten, but you will be eaten.
How have so many, like the decision makers at GoFundMe, capitulated into cowardice and cozied up with tyranny for a little bit security for just a little bit of time?
Our Founding Fathers had a Motto, it was Honorable, Courageous and demonstrated their Commitment to Right and Freedom! It was simple, brief, but brilliant, it was “GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!
How hard would it have been for GoFundMe to look into the unfounded claims and address their concerns with the Convoy Organizers? The countless media posts, articles and videos of the convoy show nothing but proud truck drivers and patriotic citizens supporting their Constitutional Right to protest tyranny from the current administration. Instead of showing some integrity, the GoFundMe people caved in from a little pressure from a despotic government.
George Washington, questioned how those in leadership roles could fail their people so completely when he stated the following, “It is a wonder to me there should be found a single monarch who does not realize that his own glory and felicity must depend on the prosperity and happiness of his people. How easy is it for a sovereign to do that which shall not only immortalize his name, but attract the blessings of millions.” It should be alarming that we see so many in leadership roles continue to fail their people. This can only be done for sinister reasons - absolute control - a status where the people are mere subjects to the ruling class which can never be allowed.
God Bless our neighbor truckers for being vigilant and showing the world how to push back against tyranny. It should not be a surprise that this kind of activity would be defined as White Supremacy by the Biden Administration.
Anyone, who goes against authority, even if it is lawless, is a White Supremacist according to the Biden Administration. What should be expected from the same people that called people racist if they did not support their totalitarianism?
Shame on GoFundMe. The good news is the organizers have now set up an alternate donation site on GiveSendGo, which they say will ensure the money gets to the protesters. The donation site had raised over $175,000 in just a few hours after its creation and I am certain will raise more!
